BROKEN ARROW, Okla. — Voters living in Broken Arrow will head to the polls Tuesday, Feb. 14 to decide on the renewal of the Public Service Company of Oklahoma (PSO) franchise agreement with the city. The renewal is a 25-year agreement that allows PSO to continue to access public streets and alleys to maintain the city's electric grid. When there are power outages, the City of Broken Arrow said PSO's access is 'essential to quickly and efficiently restore power.' If the agreement is renewed, PSO will continue to collect a 2 percent franchise fee and a new 1 percent Economic Development fee that will be sent to the City each month in full for the length of the agreement.
