Friday, May 26th 223, 6:33 pm A work of art by a senior from Broken Arrow High School will hang in the U.S. Capitol for a year. Cadence Kinney's piece, 'Oklahoma Proud,' depicts a vibrant Oklahoma Rose and Scissor-Tailed fly catcher resting on a piece of wire. Kinney chose this to fit with this year's congressional art competition theme: "Oklahoma." "I decided to do the Oklahoma bird and that is the scissortail and then I decided to do more in the background with it, so it's not just one singular thing.
